THIS GUIDE WILL CHANGE ACCORDINGLY ONCE 2.0 IS RELEASED.


This is a list of all the equipment that will be suitable for Miner and Miner Materia... A lot of the items will also be great equipment for the two other DoL's. Number in front of item is optimal or required rank.

These items are suggested options (You do not always have to upgrade, pls compare stats/lvls before purchasing) that revolve around a Miners stats including: Vit, Mnd, Perception, Gathering, Output and Scanning with possible stats that carry over to Fisher and Botany.


You have plenty of options below if the optimized item is not in stock. FF14 is all about diversity including gear so this is not an optimized guide so don't ask why so many options.

List will be updated to reflect subtle name changes for gear

Miner status effects:

VIT -
MND -
Gathering - Reduces the depletion rate of the remainder gauge.
Output - Affects the amount of attempts at a node.
Perception/Scanning - Increases your chances at (HQ) High Quality items.

updating guide this week finally to reflect 1.20.

added new rings, achievement pick.

need to update name changes to certain items still.


Added a few other items. Still need to make some name changes but they are the same items. SE just changed the names and Kida has the links going to the right item.

Hi Courtney,

Unfortunately since 1.20 they have limited important ingredients to one drop, and one drop only, per gathering attempt. The usefulness of MND is no longer that great.

Agreed. Pretty much for Mining at the moment only Perception and Output really have much of an effect. I'd just noticed that Kida didn't have the effects of VIT and MND listed at the top of the page.

Attempts per node cap at 8, so even output is useless beyond a certain point. I think if anyone is stacking a particular stat right now, it's perception.

Good point. At 42 I'm already getting 5 attempts at the top level nodes (with rubbish gear I'm just spiritbonding). At 50 I'm guessing I'll get 8 attempts with no or little Output gear.

I'd always misunderstood Perception as biasing toward the better items at a point, which doesn't mean so much when everything is pretty common. Getting more +1 items though should help, and maybe thats the only stat that will help mining at the moment.

Are Fishing and Botany the same?

I updated these guides for all 3 dol's so that's my fault. I'll add those later.

I'm one of those people who wears gear that looks good, is the best for my lvl and overall stats. I really have not been concerned with things like mnd, vit, int, str when gathering on any dol job.

I have no problems with the gear I have listed for each dol job grinding for items I need or doing leves. Personal preference I guess. That's why I listed lots of options. Some stats give you longer nodes, hq items, etc.

I just posted all the relevant stats for each DoL job that SE said affects those jobs.
