Just a heads up for those posting sales/advertisement links in threads or placing active links for furniture, clothing sites, etc.. in their sigs or any obvious spam.

Stop it. It is mostly bots who Kida is well aware of the issue but some non bots have been doing this and we never know when the links are potentially harmful to other naive members.

Also, obviously they have absolutely nothing to do with this site, ffxiv or it's content and have no place here. Depending on your member status.. you will be warned or banned immediately.

I use Firefox and as an add-on I use http://www.mywot.com/

It is quite helpful if you happen to click on a bad site link.

This has never been reported as happening on here but if you are ever pm'd any random, odd links out of the blue whether it be from a stranger or a regular member on here do not click on it and report it to Kida, myself or a mod.

Use common sense please and that goes for any links posted on this forum or any other forum you visit.

We take care of any issues immediately.
If you are not sure whether you can post a specific link ask first or place the link in code like below. You can find the button/link for "code" at the top of your message you are typing next to Highlight, Quote.

Just a heads up. Don't post offsite LIVE links for offers/sales/ads that may or may not pertain to ffxiv. If you want to make people aware them then put them in Code like I did above. Some may be legit and I get you are trying to help people out but too many times they are harmful links by bots, etc and the site is not a forum for ads of any kind.

In fact unless it's a mod just don't post any offsite links for sales/ads ffxiv or otherwise period. Had someone post a ARR link for a sale and it was as bogus as can be and that's what leads to issues with viruses and people losing their accounts. Post that stuff on the official forum for which I doubt they'd let you either.

Unless it is from SE/Official link or post.
