About Us

Digital Toxin is a Multi-game TeamSpeak Community based in the EU. Our aim is to provide a central hub where you can play and enjoy games with friends in a social, casual and fun environment. While we are based in Europe we are happy to accept members from across the globe should our time zone suit you. We have a fully featured website, forums, Team Speak 3 server and YouTube Channel.

We will be launching our own Linkshell/Free Company in FFXIV: Realm Reborn when the game launches later this year. While we have no history in FFXIV 1.0 we hope this won't be something that deters new members from joining. We are happy to accept members whether they are FFXIV 1.0 stalwarts or new players. We feel our community will benefit from both battle hardened experience and fresh faced enthusiasm.

Do Multi-Game Communities Lack Focus?

That’s a common problem in multi-game communities; however one which we don't face.Both myself (RiGoRmOrTiS) and LexC are community leads for our FFXIV Free Company\Linkshell and will treat it in the same way as any FFXIV guild would. Any other MMO's played by the community are managed and run by different community moderators.

We will arrange regular in-game events along with everything else you would expect from a casual, social guild. We will also be looking for additional experienced Final Fantasy fans to help run our Free Company once we get rolling; maybe that’s you?

Why an 18+ community?

It's the most appropriate age to filter out a large portion of the immature folk. I'm sure this is an unfair generalisation and there are plenty of people who are immature beyond the age of 18; but we feel this is the best trade off. It allows people to speak their mind without thinking“there’s a kid in the channel!”. Additionally the older you are the less likely you'll be offended or take yourself too seriously (the most common cause of drama!) It's no hold bars fun, jokes and sarcasm. If that sounds to your liking then we highly recommend you make an application!

Why join a Multi-game community?

As a multi-game community our members enjoy a variety of games (MMO’s and Multiplayer). We try to bring everyone together regardless of the game you might be playing. We try to host Games Nights at least once every two weeks, where we invite everyone to play games like Minecraft, Magicka, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Star Craft 2 and many more. The reason we do this is to facilitate a more coherent community giving people less reason to move on should they tire of one particular game, this means in our community you are more likely to retain friendships and not loose contact with other members.

However!! This doesn't mean we will be less dedicated to FFXIV:RR than a regular guild would be; with our dedicated community leads (Myself and LexC) focusing only on this game you will get the same experience as you would in a regular guild but with a wider, more diverse and stable community. People won't just drop out of contact because they no longer play the same games as you! :) and surely that's a good thing!

In Summary

We are a relatively new community built from the ashes of an older guild so by joining us you are really helping form our new community in FFXIV: Realm Reborn. Both myself and LexC are huge Final Fantasy fans and are super hyped for FFXIV's re-birth and hope you will consider joining us in this epic endeavour! Thanks for the help Vicious; I didn't notice that. Doesn't appear to have happened on my other posts ;) but very kind of you..

and to everyone else; apps are still open and we are starting to see apps trickle in :) so be sure to get your app in! would be nice to get to know people before we start playing together! :)

Looks like from your forum that some of you are just starting to play 11 as well. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did for I guess it's been what 9 years. You have a lot to do lol. It shouldn't be a problem though as it is much easier to get things done nowadays with higher lvl caps, uncapped fights/areas for stuff like cop for example and on and on.

Some of the older addons like moogle need help for a few fights but I would do them all. You can get some decent atma as well and plus I did it for the completionist in me.

Almost makes me wanna go back to do more but I can't be paying for 11 and 14 at same time soon or playing both and that 11 money is going elsewhere. While you can solo/duo a lot or dual box almost anything a linkshell like ya'll started is definitely the way to go. Shouts aren't as abundant for new player content if at all.

Makes me hope fishing in 14 will be more than what I've been reading.
