Has anyone had any luck pinpointing copper ore? I'm currently mining in grade 1 of Thanalan, and can't seem to find a good depth on the exposure bar. I know there's an element of randomness to it but with fishing and botany it seems you can pinpoint items a bit, depending on what you're looking for. |

You could try killing coblyns.
According to my log, I've gotten it three times while mining in Bentbranch. At -4, -2, and -2. Yellow Copper Ore, also three times in Bentbranch. At +2, +2, and -2.
Although, I have very few mining attempts in my log.

Just a little something from the database... This information will become available for all items once I get it done right:
5 - 8 4 - 13 3 - 4 2 - 2 0 - 6 -2 - 9 -3 - 4 -4 - 1 -5 - 5
This is where copper ore's are found (first number is depth and second number is times copper ores have been excavated). Remember this may not necessarily mean that they should be found at 4. It could mean that most people mine at this depth. There does seem to be a tendency that copper ore is found in the top though... Edited by user Monday, October 04, 2010 1:59:51 AM(UTC)
