Finally! The sooner Beta Phase 3 ends Beta Phase 4 can start. Beta Phase 4 will most likely not be wiped and carry over! We will also get fishing! Time for the real fun is almost here!

Cool, I hadn't seen this anywhere until you posted it.
I remember reading somewhere that they only wanted open beta to last around a week or so, so we could potentially have a 2-3 week downtime to fall in line with the open beta > early access > retail launch schedule. |

New testing schedule posted this morning. Starts Friday morning normal time, but no end time specified yet. Looks like we're going to enter the extended testing period now. (as anticipated) |

That would be awesome. Weekends are actually never that good for me as I have a million other things to attend. But weekdays should be better. Let's see how it goes. |

Yeah starting at 4am cst on a Friday morning is not doable for me lol. Can't make everyone happy I understand though and then that leaves me basically sacrificing anything I want to get done on Sat. to play since it ends on Sunday at 4am lol.
Oh well it's beta and I had to play with what they give me right. P4 will be here soon anyways. |

Just remember to try out lots of things. Do not put too much effort into one thing only because Beta 3 data will be wiped and you will have to redo it anyway.

I plan on testing out the Duty Finder function extensively this weekend. Going to do it for dungeons and guildhests, and I'll see if I can get my character through the story far enough to do Ifrit, but being that I did that week 1 I might not focus on that too much. |

I didn't see anyone else post this.
Quote:Regarding Test End Date& Time
Thank you for participating in the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test. This is to notify the end date and time for the 4th Beta Test, Test Phase 3 that has started on July 5th. Thanks to everyone who participated in the test, we have confirmed the stability in the Duty Finder, and will be ending the 4th Beta Test on July 7th, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) / July 7th, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. (GMT).
We thank you for your participation for the ongoing testing.
So its ending at it's usual time guess they didn't find any bugs. I'm guessing they meant the 4th week of phase 3 not the 4th phase. sucks i'll be busy alot todayEdited by user Saturday, July 06, 2013 12:55:22 PM(UTC)

Well I tested the crap out of the duty finder this weekend so I dunno what else I'm going to do next weekend. I did every dungeon and guildhest through it without any issues. (well, not system-wise anyway :P) I ran around La Noscea testing BLM skills to get better acclimated with the job, and figured I'd start up a spreadsheet recording which mobs drop what, so I may do that for the other couple areas next weekend if I feel like playing. I was trying to craft certain things and couldn't find them on vendors, so it was getting tedious hunting down various monsters trying to figure out who drops what. If I post it, it's not going to be anything too in-depth. Just major area, sub area, monster name, drops. Not even sure how to organize it cleanly in the spreadsheet yet... Beta 4 will probably not be very long. I suspect 2 weeks. Add to that one week for early access before official launch, and I think Beta 4 will probably start around 2 August, which means just over 2 weeks down time after Beta 3.
The spacing seems to fit. Also keep in mind that the free new standalone character creator (maybe in the form of a new benchmark) will become available soon to enable tweaking your character for import. Things will really start to move the end of this month!
