hi
Right now I'm testing crafting a bit with my lvl 50 armorer.
In the last Phase I allready did a bit of crafting and it looked really nice. I liked it.
Now with a lvl 50 there is quit a big Change.
You can use 10 additional skills form other classes. I've got 14 skills on armorer.
First Thing I noticed is that CP goes down really fast.
I've got 235 CP.
The two Primary skills are the touch and the syntesis skills.
Touch skills are for Quality increase.
Syntesis skills for Progress increase.

I've treid to use great stride which according to the tool tip should work for 3 steps to increase Efficiency of touch skills.
First Thing I noticed it actually only is active for one step.
It Shows as an active buff at the top where it also has the number 3.
Other skills seems to work for as Long as they state.Propably going to make a bug Report about this.

Using great Stride for buff and then the highgest touch ability three times, my CP went from 235 down to 47 CP. Making most stuff not usable anymore. Actually I found no way to use Great Stride and advanced touch x3 and still beeing able to finish the item.
At that Point the HQ Chance is only at 7% using NQ items to create a lvl 50 reciept.
I don't have the corresponding HQ items to see how much this chances.
So I don't really see a way to make HQ items without HQ materials.
Not only is the Chance with 7 % terrible low. I'm not even able to finish the item if I push it to 7% HQ Chance.

Anyone else tried out higher lvl crafting? The skills changed a lot and I feel a bit overwelmed with a lot of crafting Jobs leveled and having so many skills to use.

EDIT: Someone allready reported the Bug.

Nice info Death. I haven't tried it yet and probably won't till phase 4 but we're looking forward to getting official results from players once the beta ends and 2.0 begins.

7% HQ rate using all-NQ ingredients on a lv50 sounds perfectly reasonable to me, if not perhaps higher than I expected, especially given that you (and everyone else) is unfamiliar with all the abilities available to them, and their optimal use.

I briefly tried some crafting and I agree, the amount of abilities available to you can be overwhelming. Finding the right combination will be the tricky part, but I also think that people are going to require all HQ items to have a chance at HQ'ing items. The amount of CP available, even if you have all the best accessories that grant more, seems pretty low, so you have to do more with less. There was one ability I had that granted 50 CP if the crafting status turned unfavorable (red orb color) so that helped sometimes, but it didn't let me do much more than another touch.

I'm sure there'll be a guide written up at some point that is the most efficient use of abilities. I just wish it were a bit more simpler so that the average player could figure it out on their own. All in all I do like the new crafting system though.
