I saw this tweet as well and was amazed. One million users is really amazing and I think it is awesome how SE has managed to turn this title around and have everyone excited.
When I think back on how things were one year ago it is so pleasing to know that they really made a game every body wants to play. |

Curious out of how many of those applied will actually stay with the game after the first month. Some people are MMO junkies and will just sign up for anything. I think if SE could retain at least half of that number they'd be in good shape. |

I am sure that they will get at least half the number and I think that after an initial dip the number will grow. Many players don't even know about the game and casual gamers may see it on the shelf and give it a go. Hopefully the word will spread and the reviews be good. I think a lot of people are waiting to hear those. |

I think it will be much of a larger turnout for the official game that people expect. Entertaining, easy and difficult, can put as much time into the game as you want that fits your schedule and still accomplish a lot and of course it's very visually appealing. Lots to do in the game and love the in game mechanics, story and on and on. |

You can see a member's ID number (what order they were registered on the forums) by mousing over their username. It seems people that joined recently, are in the 400000 range, so there's at least that many people actually in the beta right now. Wouldn't be surprised if over half a million people were in by the time Phase 3 ends. Compare that with someone registering in June on the official Lodestone forums at only being user # 47000ish and it gives you an idea of how many people were playing ver 1.0.
