Unfortunately thats the way it happens. People are in a rush to get cash so will undercut ppl to a huge degree just to make sure their stuff sells.

On my server (Lamia) HQ red coral sold for about 4k per piece now cos of one guy its dropped down to 1.5-2k and NQ ones are about 700.

Blue Coral
Brass Loach

Dark Bass
Dusk Goby
Finger Shrimp
Hammerhead Shark
Helmet Crab
Maiden Carp
Navigator's Dagger
Pipira
Princess Trout
Rothlyt Oyster
Tiger Cod
Warmwater Trout
White Coral
Whitelip Oyster (used for Fishing Hat!)

I put together this list. Hope it helps

Are there any places that give only black soles or between that and like one other fish? What about hammerheads? I know of a few places that have like 4 fish with these, but that spread is a bit too much. What baits can you use to target ONLY one of these fish? For instance I know of a spot that you only get red corals at with a certain bait, but since that market has been totally undercut to hell on my server (Ultros), I can't stick with that really anymore.

that's the problem with posting info online -_- i saw this "secret" posted online as well, and it's not much of a secret any longer.

if we answer your questions, info is out there and there goes those markets even worse!

*edit
just saw somebody post the red coral "secret" again an hour ago on reddit :o

HQ fish give 300% XP.

Fishing in the same area long enough you can get a message "The fish sense something amiss. Perhaps it is time to try another location". Changing your location on the same location resolves the message. This is clearly anti-botting code.

Every outdoor zone seems to have one SPECIAL location that you can not fish normally. You get a message "You can sense something swimming below, but are uncertain where". In these locations I was never able to cast. I am assuming a skill is required. The location in Middle La Noscea where you get this message is Woad Whisper Canyon. In Lower La Noscea the location is at The Salt Strand. These areas are included in the fishing log, so you can not complete these outside areas without casting here.

That's all the unique information not covered above that I have.

I discovered this forum seeking information on this in-game message.

The quoted post was made almost a year ago, and I've scoured the thread to see if it's ever been answered. I got this same "swimming below" message and have been unable figure out what it means or what to do about it. Anyone?
Fishing Eorzea is an adventure in itself!

I assume the answer is here...it's discussed on that link above. I've been 50 since 1.0 so I can't remember.

You simply lack the appropriate Gulleye trait to use that particular fishing hole. There's a new Gulleye trait learned at levels 15, 35, and 50. Upon reaching those levels, you'll gain access to more fishing holes. The same message may also apply if you try to dunefish/skyfish before reaching the requisite levels (Lv 35 and 45 respectively), but I'm not 100% sure about that.

To put it simply, you're not high enough level.
