Moat carp anyone?
It says "This freshwater fish is found in lakes and marshes throughout the Black Shroud...but rarely in moats." But I couldn't find it in any level appropriate waters, since it was my GC supply item for fishing at lvl 20-22. |

Haha..totally didn't think that fish would be back. Haven't quite made it to 20 on my new char yet, but I would think South Shroud would be the place to try. Central Shroud only has a couple of low level fishing areas. Everschade is 30 and the stuff up on the upper level going towards North Shroud is probably the same or higher. It's possible they might be caught near Fallgourd Floats as well, but that's a level 25-30ish area so I figured it might be a bit high. Mirror Planks in Central Shroud is MAYBE an option. I caught moat carp in the little stream on the bridge past the aetheryte in Gridania. Now only 9,999 more!
For whatever reason I never see any levequests for fishing past level 10. I am a level 30 fisher but nothing ever shows for me in the levequest NPCs. Anybody know what I'm missing?
Also, anybody know the best place for hammerhead sharks is yet? I'm trying to get silver sharks at the moment since that seems to be about the only thing to possibly make any money on =/

I only have one entry left for Gridania and no matter what bait I use it doesn't catch anything so I'm assuming it's a mooched fish. Also for leves, you have to unlock them with a battle class, so you kind of have to keep leveling that in tandem to keep doing higher level leves. Hammerhead Shark I believe I caught one at the Tidegate in Skull Valley where the Sahagin are with a Glowworm. Didn't spend too much time there so I don't know of any other locations or baits yet. |

I finished the Guild quests, lots of fun. Then I got the Halycon Rod, and a choice of one AF item. The Halycon rod. Well Luminary people, at least yours is gold! Levelling is a lot easier if you have leves. They ask you to get 3 fish (like Black Sole). You go and fish up a load of black sole. When you get back, you hand in the 3 fish to the customer. Then he often says "Lets do this off the record, the guild doesnt need to know about this, I'll give you the same again but I get to avoid my fee. And you can sell him another 9 for the same XP and Gil reward.!! That means you get so much more value out of a single leve. If you hand in 3 HQs you get 200% more reward. RIOT - you have to unlock combat leves before they will give you fishing leves. I do know that Costa Del Sol has them. Also 2 camps in Coerthas and a camp near Revenants toll in Mor Dhona. Yeah basically each 'camp' has a Merchant & Mender vendor that sells under TOOLS level-related bait/lures for the area. Its sorta nice.

Found this forum in my searching for a fishing guide, clicked a link that said it had a guide for 2.0 Fishing but it only lead to the Gathering/Mining guide :/ so I was curious does anyone have a good fishing guide, or could send me in the right direction to level at Lv.25? Thanks in advance!

Level 1 Lugworms, other than the initial 99 your given I have yet to come across a vendor with them. Has anyone seen them, I must be missing them somewhere.
