I see this last updated a month ago, was it abandoned or is it being updated somewhere else?

Anything specifically you're looking for? It was more or less determined a while back that most fish have a chance to bite on any bait within 2-3 levels of the fish and any bait higher level than it. The tricky part will be narrowing down which fish can isolate certain fish if you're looking for that.

I guess that is the info i am looking for. I have the spreadsheet, but it still has just as many blank spaces as it did when I downloaded it a month ago. It would be nice to have a list of how/what works for specific fish. For example;

Black Sole: South Shroud - 21,27
Sinking Minnow
6am - 6pm
50-75% (or 6/10 would work)

Just frustrating going to the fishing log, seeing that I caught a certain fish in a certain area, just to waste 3 hours trying to catch that fish again and maybe coming off with 5-6 "wanted" fish and a whole lot of crap.

To that end, if there is nothing out there like this, I will continue to fill in the blank spaces myself, hopefully one day soon it will be mostly complete.

Lastly, I do want to thank whoever made that spreadsheet to begin with, it is very well laid out, easy to read/understand...Kudos

Thank you! Always nice to hear work appriciated.

As for the blank spaces that's do in part to 2 things:

1) I haven't been doing much fishing. Since catching all the fish there wasn't much reason for me to keep fishing as they are far from useful when you already have all your crafts up to 50 save for a couple items for a food dish here and there.

2) No one else was submitting results so there wasn't much to update.

Fishing is so much more relaxed in 2.0 than it was in 1.0. The community here did an amazing job of buckling down and discovering how to catch every fish in the game and their locations. Once that was done there was just little need for fishing... apparently by design from Yoshi, who has admitted in the past he isn't fond of fishing and wants it to be a near-total social thing.
