Just wanted to let you all know that I am currently working on getting some maps up and running. In the start they will be pretty simple but I hope that they in time will be much better than the ones we had for 1.0.

I have gotten all the maps out of the game and I am currently working on getting them to fit and tiled and what not that is needed to get it all to work with the google map api.

You deserve the best gathering maps we can make and I already have some ideas for what we can do with them. If you have any suggestions please let me know and I will see what I can do.

Would you be willing to share how you squeezed the maps out of the game (or simply share the maps themselves), or did you get them from somewhere else?

I'd be interested as well, as I want to start doing detailed Dungeon Maps for my LS/FC.

It would be interesting to see, the only map I've seen so far is the world map and connections, cant find the site I saw that on now though.

[edit] this is only map I've found so far http://home.comcast.net/~nakomaru/ffmaps/

http://xivdb.com/?maps/21/world-00/Eorzea/Eorzea

This is the XIVDB which is using a google API. Has toggle checkboxes for nodes, npc's, fates, etc.

I am going to make the maps available as images once I get this finished (or should I say ready for the site, it will probably never really be finished ;)

They may be stamped discreetly with www.DisciplesOfTheLand.com though.
