Maps of Final Fantasy XIVHi all... I finally got them made.
The maps for Final Fantasy XIV are now online. It has taken some time but I have been unable to find maps that were usable but just this week I was able to pull the from the game files.
I would like to add some comments to the maps as they are now. First of all: There are 73 maps so far. I believe I have found all locations but if not let me know and I will see what I can do. Some of the maps are interesting and some of them are not. Obviously big maps like
Central Thanalan,
Eastern La Noscea or
North Shroud hold some value on their own but maps like
The Navel,
Mizzenmast Inn or
Command Room may not be all that interesting as they are no more than a room.
So far there is no information in the maps. I have made some connection on the world map and I strive to get all the places you zone in order for the launch of FFXIV this Saturday. In the future of course loads of features will be implemented, mostly concerning gathering but I may find other uses as well once I get more data.
I hope that these maps will help you once the game starts and that you will use them a lot and please have patience while I find more data for you to explore...
Oh I should also add that some people have requested the maps as images. I am going to make a link to the image of the map once I get it done. I am going to discreetly stamp them with
www.DisciplesOfTheLand.com but they should be usable for various purposes.
If you have any features you would like to see let me know. I have made it possible to right click the map to get the coordinates of the click. I may use this if we are going to let you, the users, add information about locations you want added. I may also make it possible for you to add markers on your own. Time will tell
