The only redeeming feature of coerthas is that is kind of close to a camp where you can buy more Stem Borers (with which you can Mooch HQ Abalathian Smelts (~8500 xp) for Kissing Trout (~5000 xp NQ). You may as well fish with a Mithril Spoon Lure at The Burning Wall as you cannot mooch any of the fish with Stem Borers (which Rescuer did), and I havent found a bait that you can do it with (granted I haven't tried that hard but it could be krill and I dont want to waste my time). Just had to register and give my contribution to this post, since it's been a life(time)saver for me.
Currently at 33FSH and i found that Urth's Gift in Southern Shroud is a great place to level for 32-35 (silver spoon lure, bought at Camp Tranquil), rolling in 2500xp NQ (+3%)& ~10kish HQ 99% of the time with bonytongue and occasional mittencrab, both worth the same, the 1% is split between a rare "fish caught away" and ala mighan, LV32-33 only got 3 ala mighan, 2 of which were HQ and mooched for monke onke. Better than Moondip XP-wise for leveling once you get the silver spoon.

I'm 36 and getting a lot of XP in Southern Thanalan doing sandfishing currently, and I envision it'll be good until 38-40ish. My problem is my fishing is outleveling my battle class by far (PUG 22), so I don't get any fishing levequests. Luckily I enjoy the grind.
Now if only we had some valuable fish that actually made this worth it =/ Me2.my level 31paladinyet is being caught up by my level26 fisher....

First off, as an aspiring fishercat I thank you all for this information. I am currently level 41 and this site has been a huge help finding holes and finding the right lures and baits. Just to compile as I am fishing at Sagolii desert now (I have tried the Exploratory Ice Hole but the gain was better in the desert for me); it's better to do The Burning wall up to 45? And then sky fishing in Coerthas "Sea of Clouds" would be the best way to get to level 50? Thanks in advance! (For mid levels; I spent 28~35 on Costa Del Sol and 35~41 in Sagolii Desert/Dunes, before that I spent my time experimenting on different fishing holes around the places where the level quests sent me to fetch the fish it needed. I haven't spent a single Leve on Fishing.) Edited by user Friday, September 27, 2013 4:41:02 AM(UTC)

(Red Coral, Hammerheads, oysters)
