Hello everyone! Due to SE bungling yet another launch (surprise surprise!) I have yet to be able to login to an NA server... and I haven't wanted to dedicate hours on end to a JP server that I don't want to stay on. Point being, I've yet to try fishing (my favorite part of an MMO.)
I read before the actual release that fishing was going to be majorly nerfed, and I am wondering if this came to fruition? There was talk that it wouldn't actual be able to make money etc... It would just be a one-click mini game.
Can any of you who have delved into the fishing experience make any comments about this?
Thanks a lot guys! I'll be posting here quite a bit once I'm able to get into the game (hopefully after maintenance.)

You might want to check out This Thread as there's a lot of discussion about the new fishing system there. Anyway to summarize, it's still enjoyable for me. TBH, I don't really miss the minigame from 1.0. It's nice to just sit back, cast your line and reel in some fish. Of course if you follow the discussion in the thread above and some of the other threads in the Fishing forum, you'll see there's more to it than just casting and reeling in. |
