I would like to ask you guys how you think this should be done. I would like to add information about all gathering locations but I think it's a bit overkill to make marks of all trees and brushes and stones and quarries etc.
I was thinking about doing it a bit like for fishing. A circle indicating the general location of the gathering points in the different areas. Then visitors would be able to see what was in the area. The trees doesn't differ in content any way.
What are your thoughts on this?
Let me know :D

I think this would be sufficient, just drawing a circle around the area where the nodes spawn. You'll just have to be careful as some areas can get REALLY spread out, but for the most part nodes don't seem to be further than 2 coordinate spots in width. i.e. ranging from X25 to X27 is the furthest they go. I would also use two different colors to separate the mining/quarrying and botany/harvesting as sometimes nodes will overlap into each other's area, so you can have different colored circles to represent this. I like the format and the fish off to the right of the map.
I would love to see a XIVDB.com tooltip popup (the .js code is on their site to add) so when we hover over the item icon it gives us the tooltip pop for it.
