The only data mining I'm doing is the manual sort. Looking at what's available and writing it down, but I'm still low on the level tree. 25 botanist, 15 carpenter, 14 leather ,13 weaver. One of those is probably mixed up.
The app, is based in part on the gear chart I put up on the other forum. I compiled a whole list of gear for my little lumberjack, sorted it by list, then decided what the hell, let's add some mining and fishing. Then came the crafting classes.
Basically use it to keep track of your character's current class and level, and show you what gear you should prepare to upgrade next. Haven't had much time to work on it but ideas have been brewing. I'm probably going to throw in the gathering log with a map of where to gather what.
Once I'm done with the gathering classes, I'll start adding the crafting side; gear, crafting logs, etc.

I'm probably separating the crafting mats later into 1 whole recipes table by itself.
