I'm trying to finish my log for Urth's Gift and I seriously cannot catch any Boxing Pleco here. Is there a better spot to find these or does anyone have suggestions for bait to use? |

I had the same experience, and then gave up and went to North Shroud and caught it almost instantly at Lake Tahtotl. Might have been dumb luck, but could always give that a shot.

I have not found a lure that works. But Caddisfly Larva live bait works at Urth's gift. Be prepared for a lot of trash fish though. Probably 8 to 1 ration. To get the 10 you need for the GC Provision you will probably use up 60-100 bait. Edited by user Saturday, September 14, 2013 11:44:36 AM(UTC)

Just figured I would post this here, I just fished up the boxing pleco with a rainbow spoon lure. Not a great catch rate, but I would say about the same as bait. Anyway, just a alternative to bait, it is possible. Have fun fishing!
