Sylphlands fishing spot in East Shroud What I'm wondering if anybody has gotten the bugged message below. I posted a bug report and the admins replied to me saying they've forwarded my information to the development team. first catch an HQ common sculpin, then use it to mooch. but after a few moments the error pops up saying "the bait you are using may not be suited to this location".... which it should work since the bait is a MOOCH fish. I have tried using a ton of other baits to catch the common sculpin HQ, which shouldn't matter since the whole point is that you are using the fish you caught as the next bait to catch the next larger fish apparently other people on other servers have caught the mushroom crab, but on Gilgamesh, it doesn't work you can see in my screenshot, i've recasted my line with the mooched fish, then error occurs  If anybody has caught this fish (crab), can you please post below with a yes and what server you are on :)
and if you are on gilgamesh, if you've caught it or also received the error message :)

They also make a LOT of noise and lots of the bites are really quiet so it can be a little hard to fish.
Their are 6 fish:
1) Giant Bass (
2) Velodyna Carp (can isolate with Wildfowl Fly for farming)
3) Oakroot (rare, only got 1 in 200 casts, at about midnight in game time on a Mithril Spoon)
4) Common Sculpin (used to Mooch Mushroom Crab) (caught best on Mithril Spoon)
5) Southern Pike (several lures work, but Streamer netted me HQ for biggest 'river' for me to date @ 45.1 im)
6) Mushroom Crab (caught from Mooch of Common Sculpin, is a stared fish.)
Excalibur Server. When you posted that error in that thread I assumed it resolved itself...sounds really bugged to me and should justify a ticket opened to look into it. As noted it was a Mythril Spoon Lure to catch the Sculpin then mooch the Crab. GOOD LUCK!!!

yeah, i've gone back there like 5-6 times every few days to try again, but no matter what, the error pops up after trying to mooch the sculpin HQ.
hopefully somebody on gilgamesh chimes in

I actually caught the shroomcrab whilst leveling there, went to do some other stuff and came back later to keep on leveling and the same thing happened to me a couple of times with mooch, never got the crab again. Actually IIRC, i got it on my 2nd mooch, first got away. Then after a while, i left the area to do something (can't recall what it was) and came back later the same day. Afterwards i got the same "wrong bait" message on the rest of the mooches in the time i spent there, haven't been back since tho.

I'm here now trying to get it yet again.
what i'm doing this time is every time i get the bug message i move over a little bit and fish again. i'm just about done going around the whole pond and so far i keep getting the bug message -_-

Yeah I can`t catch this mushroom crab mooched with Common Sculpin HQ on Sargatanas server, too. Tried differents baits (stem borer and mythril spoon lure)- no result. Tried different time and weather except thunderstorm ( maybe it is!!! or maybe this is realy BUG ) - no result, too. "The bait you are using may not be suited to this location"

"The bait you are using may not be suited to this location" great -_- I decided to abandon my new character on gilgamesh and load my legacy character on Sargatanas (since almost every job is 50). I've been working on getting all the fish in game again since it's starting over and I haven't' headed there yet. now i'm not looking forward to it -_-
