Anyone else have this problem when fishing?

You're too close!

I hate it when I'm in the middle of no where and suddenly someone comes and fishes right next to me! I'm sure some of you if not all of you use the sound cues to know when you have a fish on the line right? And when someone gets too close you can hear their cues. So confusing. :)

Anyways, just a funny vent I had today.

I actually don't mind, and frequently I fish with a friend.

It can get awfully lonely fishing in the middle of nowhere for hours on end Blushing

Lol, funny picture. I don't mind either way, but like you said, you really gotta zoom in on your char to hear some of the audio cues, and that makes it tougher with someone right up on you.

For those who never tried :)

Fish with a controller and enable vibration.

it is tons easier than the audio queue and it is better on your wrists.

1 Vibration for small fish
2 Vibration for HQ/Large Fish
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Jumping out your hands vibration for those guarenteed fail pulls.

I got a wireless xbox controller just for fishing >.> Now I don't even have to look at the screen =3

I personally have a Razer Naga gaming mouse and setup the one click fishing macro, so it's not so bad.

It's actually an in-game macro someone posted here a while back. I'd either have to dig it up or copy/paste it here when I get home to see it in game. Basically it's a macro that reels in your catch, has a /wait, then attempts to mooch or cast your line depending on what's available. Once you start fishing it's the only button you ever need to push.

I don't mind other fishers doing that, but what a do hate are non-fishermen that stop next to you and oggle, sometimes for a minute or more, like they're trying to figure out if you're a player or a bot.

Heh, I fully admit I'm that guy. I LOVE to talk to new people, especially fellow fishers, and if that means a few missed catches, so be it. I'd much rather have the memory of meeting a new fishing buddy than a few missed baits, or even a lure. I can fish alone anytime I want, it's rare to find a friend. Plus, on our server we have a fishing linkshell, and this is how I invite almost everyone, haha. Some resist, but I throw on the old Glaine charm and they usually join our growing fishing army. Resistance is futile, all your fish are belong to us!

Dang right, and bring the rest of the LS along for the ride! I didn't choose to be King of the Man Whores, the title choose me when I put on that speedo/cowboy hat/thigh high boots combination...(sage nod)

You could always make your own! Ours started out with just myself as the only real fisher and a few of my RL friends, they were padding so when I invited some of the first people, it wasn't to creepy, especially for the ladies. "Well hi there, I see you like fishing, and you've noticed my man whore costume, want to join my fishing LS? Who's in it you say? Just me and you baby..." That doesn't go off so well. So far I make everyone a leader so they can invite their own fishing buddies and no one can kick each other out, but we haven't had much, if any drama yet! Fishers by nature tend to be very mellow because of all the patience required, and if there is a bit of competition, it's like watching two 90 year old men fight.
