Botany gives us wards and other items. When I use the ward fishing, it says that I have an affinity for water/wind/earth. I can place all 3 up at the same time. Do they do anything? Do you really gain anything from mining/botany that's useful?

Since fishing has no use for GP, it should come as no surprise that the abilities that use GP don't do anything for fishing. Having not leveled Fisher, I don't even know what you can cross-class, but since you're not getting any shards/crystals/clusters, the Wards certainly won't be doing anything for you. Being able to cross-class the +yield abilities would be nice, but I don't suppose they let you do that, do they? Edited by user Monday, September 23, 2013 9:05:14 AM(UTC)
