I personally haven't had the time to spiritbond anything, and I was lucky since the relic weapon for my main job was like one of the cheapest ones.

Seems like spiritbonding for DoH/DoL is pretty straightforward. Get the high level accessories (rings, neck, bracelets) and spiritbond those for the materia needed to attach to your level 50 gear. The battle classes have it rougher as there's like 3-4 different materia you can get per item type.

Since Fisher has no use for GP, that's not too surprising. Unless you've melded onto your accessories, then your accessory slots are entirely pointless.

I'm not a fisher, but I'd use...

Wrist: Militia Wristlet (the DoH one). Tier-4 crafting materia is rare and slow to come by; if you manage to get a T4 out of it, then it ought to be worth a fair chunk of cash (T4 crafting materia goes for ~100k on Balmung). I haven't checked what DoL materia goes for, but I doubt it costs as much as DoH materia.

Rings: I'd use Aetheryte Rings (or the Meteor Survivor Ring, if you prefer). They have the benefit of being high-level, as well as having Spiritbond+1 on them.

Neck/Ears: Whatever items. Check your server's markets to see what tier-3 materia is the most expensive and try to snag some of that sweet sweet cash.

Bonus: If you haven't melded onto your normal gathering gear, you could also convert that when it hits 100%. You can probably make a fair chunk of money out of the materia.

Also keep in mind that if you're doing a lot of fishing (or any kind of gathering/crafting) that if you're not doing anything that makes a lot of use of your CP/GP you can equip accessories suitable for other classes and convert them as well. Things like the elusive Quicktongue III are selling for good money and if you're out grinding fishing anyway, might as well try to make some more money while doing it.

Been doing rings and earrings :) with the +1 spirit bond necklace and bracer

But you have to be catching close to the item's level fish, or the spirit bond increase very slowly.

Oh, yeah I forgot about that. If the level of the fish are 10~20 levels under the iLvl of the item, you don't get any spiritbond at all.

I've tested the +1 bracelet, the +3 ring and the combined total and their is no difference (at the burning wall anyways) for the number of catches to = 1% increase.

So, i've been filling the slots with other lvl 50 stuff and converting to materia to sell :D
