Hi all

Just wanted to let you know that I have made a small guide to help you meld materia to your endgame crafting gear.

Read it here: Final Fantasy XIV Melding Guide to Crafting Gear

Hope it helps you getting your stats maxed.

nicely done and thank you Kida. What do you have for your 2nd ring and which doh(s) were required to meld to all that gear and lastly I'd like to apply the previous question to melding to our dol AF. Have you melded to your dol yet?

Just figuring out what doh I need at what lvl to do all these melds as those are priority to me and I want to meld myself.

Thank You^^

Aetheryte Ring is crafted, so you should be using two of those.

Belt is LTW
Accessories are all GSM
Offhands are BSM (except for WVR/GSM offhands, which are made by CRP)
Armor is mostly WVR and LTW, but a few are made by GSM and ARM depending on the DoH.

DoL is:
Belt/Neck/Rings - LTW
Ears/Wrists - GSM
Offhand - BSM
Armor - WVR and LTW, with the exception of the MIN hat, which is ARM

Personally, after melding a few of my BTN things, I didn't find it worth it to max-meld everything for DoL. For BTN+MIN, Gathering has no point beyond 340ish, and GP is the same past 600.

Kida, I've added your guide to my post on the Lodestone, since your melds are generally much more money-friendly than the ones I had listed.

@Vicious: I am currently making a gear guide for gathering. It is not finished yet as there are some other things to take into consideration as Raldo also notices. First or all there is no reason to max out the gathering gear as you probably wont need all the cp and perception possible. CP is also totally useless for fishers.

Maybe I should add information on which class makes the melding to the guide. Might be useful information.

@Raldo Thanks for adding the information and also the link. Much appreciated. As you mentioned I was trying to make it as cheap as possible and especially Control IV materia is extremely expensive on my server.

Thanks for the meld guide! One question about the melds (excuse my ignorance), how is it that you don't meld CP and after the melds the CP has grown?

Unless I'm missing it, there is nowhere in the guide where the CP has increased unless CP materia was explicitly melded. I get the feeling that you're mistaking the fact that some of the pieces of gear some with a few paltry points of CP on them naturally.
