since the forum is kinda dead now, lets get some records posted!
the other thread was a "ABC question", but this one is about getting the top spots for each fish!

Probably going to be a while before I can participate. Mostly just grinded to 50 so I could complete the story quests and been too busy doing other things, so fishing has kinda hit the back burner for me.

I'm guessing you've probably caught everything possible so there's no 2 star Coastlines or Dunefishing fish yet?

Ah, I've been looking for something like this...so I joined! Once you've caught everything, the only thing left is the Rod of the Luminary and beating records. but it's no fun beating your own records after a while, and I wanted some outside competition to keep me pushing for the biggest catch out there! The only fish I have to hunt down now is an A-ranked Lake fish.

My fishing records!

Sad to say, you've beat me on every fish, heh. About how close to the maximum possible do you think you're at, Rescuer? Is there any possibility of other fish besides these being bigger, or significantly bigger versions of these? Like, could a high-end HQ Megalodon be bigger than a high-end HQ Titanic Sawfish, or could a high-end HQ Coelacanth beat out a high-end HQ Shall Shell? From what I've seen, both of these seem like distinct possibilities.

i've been trying to beat out my HQ titanic sawfish 187.3 with an HQ megalodon all day. i got one HQ megalodon so far and it was 174.x

i'm not sure if mega is bigger than titanic, but i'm going to try again for a few hours tomorrow.

as for my HQ titanic sawfish, i don't think i'm going to beat what I have just because....i don't feel like killing myself over it again :O
i spent yet another 4 or 5 days there, checking the weather, fishing when sunny, and for some dumb luck reason, i must have fished in the sunny condition maybe 20 something times and ONLY got TWO sawfish.... one nq and my record HQ

i have 294 gathering, 254 perception, which doesn't matter because the bad luck factor kept giving me silver sharks

I applaud y'all for this and at least trying to do something fun. Amazing how simple it would be to implement in game contests with GOOD rewards but eh.. lol.

Nothing too special yet, still a work in progress. I am more focused on my golden fishing pole. :)
