Some stuff for DoL but I noticed that they greatly lessened some..you'll have to read farther down in the notes to see which ones.. the requirements for obtaining luminary dol tools. example: good things come to those who bait V La Noscea 4,000 - 1,000 times A shame for those who put in the serious effort for it to be dumbed down. What they should of done is made the rod better or upgradeable to justify the high requirements and distinguish it from the Halc. Guess I'll finish my luminaries now. Actually I'm very close to finishing at least 2 DoL luminaries cause of this lol back from 1.0 Oh Yoshi..>.> Seems people are in uproar about housing but this update is definitely exciting to me at least. Well this is certainly a very big update with loads of new things added to the game. In the context of this site housing will be one of the big factors. These houses will need to be filled with furniture and I guess that needs to be crafted. The houses will be very expensive so it may take a while before these become common. I know that our FC will not be able to buy one for a very long time.
Also treasure hunting looks interesting. Apparently you will need to gather in order to obtain the maps and that could be a long waited revenue for gatherers.
I am going to play later today but I am at work at the moment but this is certainly something to look forwards to. The servers are online now ^^ |

The general consensus seems to be that most people aren't going to screw around with housing until personal housing is implemented. There are some larger FCs (I know of one with over 500 members on Excalibur) that may take the plunge for FC housing, but I wonder if they're just going to wait the 90 days or not.
There's some new gatherables introduced in this patch and I believe most of it is used for furniture..which again is going to be nearly useless if nobody is buying houses.
Probably the only thing I'm going to focus on is the treasure maps. If I somehow get bored I may go after the Luminary Rod, as it only requires something like 9000 fish compared to the 22000 it used to be. But I'd have to be really bored. I haven't even filled out my fishing log yet. :/
With my limited playtime some nights, the most I can focus on is the duty roulette, beastmen dailies and the treasure hunting. I've barely delved into the new story quests and haven't even looked at the new dungeons yet. |

A month later and what you posted is exactly what I've been doing mostly. Farming gil for FC house, working on luminary for well.. all dol and doh. I need goals or I get super bored lol. I haven't been venturing into dungeons which is odd cause I helped run my hnmls in FFXI and did tons of endgame but that was different. I have done some of the treasure maps but no dailies, etc. Lvling up crafting for what it's worth. The completionist in me wants everything capped after all these years. Again.. I just hope some day down the road they make fishing more .. uh exciting I guess is the word or challenging. The log .. and yeah I've been filling out my log lol... isn't the answer.
