Anyone lucky with getting HQ silver sovereign? I got over 20 Mahi-mahi and 20 NQ Silver Sovereign but 0 HQ... Seems like either impossible or a live time job.

Been seeing them pull up with 308 gathering, but also been losing them when using food to get gathering up to 323. So far I've spent an hour and a half fishing for the sovereigns and gotten 4 HQ and 5 NQs, one lost lure. I've been fishing with 323 gathering and 261 perception. Stats on the fishing pole: 143 gathering, 82 perception Stats on the hat: 3 GP, 4 gathering, 82 perception Also, they offer 1x Stuffed Artichoke for a hand in of 5xNQ silver sovereigns. Not sure that's worth it since the NQs sell for 40gil... But, there it is.

4hq and 5nq in 1.5 hours is very lucky. hope it doesn't stop for you right now i'm at 84 nq 19 HQ 22 misses two lost lures dunno how many hours. 325 gathering and 267 p using shepards pie Edited by user Saturday, March 29, 2014 10:47:13 PM(UTC)

As do I! I've been getting pretty lucky with clear weather recently, which is helping. Had one period of cloudy and part of a fog during one of my 30min runs.

Any info on the other new fish? Got hat and rod and have been trying to catch a few with no luck. My gathering is 336 with no buffs, size shouldn't matter now. |

jeeze, just got the Rivet Oyster from Vesper Bay in western thanalan. i tried yumizuno for 30 minutes, then switch to heavy iron jig cause i was thinking oysters are on the bottom. got a miss so i knew it was there. then another 8 misses on it for the next 45min. and i'm at 356 gathering 292 perception.
finally got it 7:31am, fair weather
only 12.0 ilms

10 HQ Silver Sovereigns caught. Maybe 30 NQ. 2000 other fishies.
1st night of fishing I caught 4 HQs in an hour. It's been slower after that..

So apparently they are releasing now dol/doh tools for 2.3 already. There just isn't any value/pride to anything in this game long term. I still haven't even got the forager rod lol. Oh well Yoshi you keep dumbing down dol and making us work for worthless gear for worthless fish and I'll just stick with my luminary. Dol is a joke.
Sorry haven't been on here as much Kida. The spam got really annoying but I've been off the forums for a bit everywhere. I'll probably stop my sub after Xmas because of several games coming out that will carry me over the next two years. I may and may not be back but I'll keep checking on the site till then for spam and whatever else. |
