I did some testing last night in Cedarwood (Grade 4) similar to what Fearsyth did with the Dark Bass experiment and here were the results I got. The numbers on the left represent the depth on the slider.
5 Ash Tuna-2, Bianaq Bream-6, Hammerhead Shark-1, Malm Kelp-1
4 White Coral-2, Bianaq Bream-6, Hammerhead Shark-1, Kelp-1
3 Hammerhead Shark-5, Bianaq Bream-3, Ash Tuna-1, White Coral-1
2 Ash Tuna-6, White Coral-2, Kelp-1, Bianaq Bream-1
1 Kelp-3, Bianaq Bream-2, Ash Tuna-3, White Coral-1, Hammerhead Shark-1
0 White Coral-5, Ash Tuna 2, Kelp-1, Bianaq Bream-2
-1 Kelp-4, Hammerhead Shark-1, Bianaq Bream-1
-2 Bianaq Bream-1
-3 Kelp-3, White Coral-2, Bianaq Bream-2, Hammerhead Shark-1, Ash Tuna-2
-4 Malm Kelp-3, Hammerhead Shark-1, Bianaq Bream-2, White Coral-1
-5 Bianaq Bream-1, White Coral-3, Hammerhead Shark-2
This testing was conducted in approximately a three hour window, finishing 30 minutes before New Moon using a Willow Rod and one stack Lugworms. As you can see, the fish seemed to be concentrated mostly above 0. I tried to do a test to where I could get 10 fish per depth level but the bite rate just didn't occur often below 0, especially at depth -2.
White Coral was somewhat of a rare catch on the ferry and in the Grade 1 and 2 areas in the LL area, but here it's a fairly common catch. Ash Tuna are also quite common. It's a shame there's no recipe for these for cooking yet.
I'm going to make a follow up post to these results with a stack of goby balls tonight possibly. I also started my data on which fish you can catch specifically from the levequest to test fishing waters. In Grade 1 in Bearded Rock I pulled up nothing but Tiger Cod last night. I took the leve again this morning and I'm going to see if the results vary or not. I'm going to be using all of my regional leves this week to test the different levequests to see if they yield the same fish everytime.
Once I finish the above testing, I'll be importing more data from the remaining Grade 4 areas that need updating. (Cassiopeia Hollow, Humblehearth, Camp Glory, the other level 30 camps)
I also wanted to mention that Rank 21 feels like the sweet spot for consistently catching fish in Grade 4 waters, at least in Cedarwood. I tried at 19 and 20 but just got way too many nibbles and not many bites.
