I'm sure one of y'all or someone on here has posted this already and I just missed it. I do a lot of research but since I am just now working on my foragers Miner tool I'm just getting around to all this. Miner 635GP - sharp vision, unearth 2, solid reason, deep vigor for last HQ for Umbral Rock. Wish had done this sooner. 5hq/6hits I used food to get me to 635gp. Dzemael Gratin. I haven't fully melded all the new Dodore gear so my gathering and percep are just at the min. requirements.. 370g/379p I also need to remeld my offhand. I'd suggest doing bot and mining forager tools at the same time since Bot node spawns at 2am ET slot 6 and Mining Node at 6am slot 7 both Tranquil area... that way any food you use won't be a total waste and usable for both nodes. Well that's 2 forager tools down and 1 to go. Mining was incredibly easier than fishing. Time for Botany. I'd assume Botany will be just as fast as Miner was for the hq items. I'll buy forager hats to desynth. Without food and still some melds to go:  |

Congratulations. That is awesome.
I hope you will get the botany tool soon. I must admit that it is a bit weird how easy these are to get. I really feel for the people who got the luminary tools before ARR. I am very happy with my Luminary Rod but to see how outdated it already is and how much work I put in to it really makes it all a bit foolish.
Oh well. Guess that is how it goes sometimes. |

If you have certain desynth classes leveled, you can get some pretty sweet stuff out of blowing these tools/hats up. Edit: I just noticed that you mentioned that in one of your posts; d'oh. Well, here's some other advice then. Don't be stupid like me: I leveled LTW desynth to 60 before I realized the hats were WVR. orz Edited by user Thursday, July 24, 2014 2:30:25 PM(UTC)

@Kida I still glamour my luminary rod over my foragers and always will. I need just a little more melding on my Botanist for smoother rotations then I'll knock it out. Yeah Yoshi will continue to push out new tools probably every 6-9 months. I see dol as a means for gil/farming but primarily now as a means to obtain other items like demimateria, random outfits like the new swimsuits and whatnot. In my case you need to obtain your forager hat to desynth it which obviously requires using my dol classes. Also if you want big fish to desynth you have to work on your dol jobs. It's pretty much a means to something else other than fishing or mining lol. @Raldo yep I have been lvling my cooking desynth and my weaver. I did a good amount of reading on reddit/official forums and would of made the same mistake. I've thought about gold as well but for me it's easier to do wvr and kill the hats.
