OK so I can finally start making Bass balls for fishers. The problem is, to make a stack of balls it costs 30k. Now this is a hell of a lot more then other bait we have been using up till now. But as I see it, this is currently the highest freshwater bait in the game.
So my question is, would fishers actually be willing to pay 200-300g/bait? |

Yes. you might have to search and ask some fishers on your server. (ffxivpro)
if someone sent me a /t right now id buy 2-3 stacks just to test them out. if i liked them i would work out a wholesale deal for 10-15 stacks.
idk if I'm the odd one out, but i have quite a bit of gil and don't mind dropping 100k on good bait. if the catches are worth it. |

Mind posting the recipe for this Drar? I haven't seen it listed on YG yet. I'm just curious if it's the dark bass that is what's making the bait expensive, because a fisherman could supply that to the cook. The rest of the mats I assume are wheat/rye, distilled water and an npc bought bait (lugworm, bloodworm, moth pupa, pill bug) if the recipe follows the same pattern as the others. |

Price comes from having to buy the garlic of a vendor.

You can get Garlic pretty easy from the grade 3 harvesting nodes around Camp Horizon in Thanalan.

Sunset Flour
Distilled Water
Garlean Garlic
4x Earth Shards.
It seems optimal rank to make will be around R34-36 to make.
As for the Garlean Garlic, I have 3 Botanists getting it for me, but it is still difficult to obtain due to people not always harvesting the same area over and over :/ When I can I buy it for 500g/each, but I certainly don't get it very often. |
