Just logged in after the update and went to do some leve quests. Besides the changes to the UI, they have also made changes to gathering! I don't know for sure but the drop rates seem to have changed, and that vertical slider now appears to have some use! This is from a level 10 mining leve in Camp Drybone: Code:
You obtain the chunk of Yellow Copper Ore +2
You obtain the fire shard.
You can make one more gathering attempt.
This point requires further investigation.
You sense chunks of yellow copper ore above where you are mining.
I didn't make it up, that last line is exactly as it appears in the log! Looks like we have some more furtling around to do!! :D

I can't seem to figure out what they intended with it though. Because when i get the message that it is below me, and i go below where I did previously, I get a completely different item than the message hinted I'd find. Same thing occurs when it says to go up.
Now granted part of this might be because there are multiple positions above and below and maybe I was not in the right position. However, I've noticed that even when it says that the item is exactly in the same position as I was just in, and I stay there, I dig up something completely different.
Broken? Or am I missing something important?

Boss: I think it just leads you to the depth where you will have the most luck catching that certain type of fish. You'll still be able to catch others, but your best chance will be at a certain depth. |
