just wondering if anybody has caught a fish that is rank 50+ yet in game? fish list http://aalea.skyfall.info/aalea-fish.php#GEARI've talked a lot about this to a friend and forum poster who is rank 50 fishing, and even he believes either the fish aren't implemented yet, or are just beyond incredibly hard to get. We've spent a lot of time using all kinds of different baits/lures, depths, etc, at many higher level fishing spots, and came up with only the standard "crappy low level fish." any waters grade 6 and above really don't seem to have any of the "cool high level fish" in them. So we are wondering if it's just a fluke and we've not been able to get them yet with the lengthy effort we've put in, or if they might just not be implemented in game yet. thoughts?

Nothing yet, I am camped out in Clearwater Lake (Grade 8) with a Yew Rod and a Topwater Frog trying to see if there is anything large in here. So far just: Maiden Carp Pipira Stripped Goby Brass Loach Perhaps when the wind lets up...we'll see. (ALSO, the link you posted up above has incorrect Optimal ranks for the Bait and Lures) Edited by user Tuesday, December 07, 2010 3:10:37 PM(UTC)

I've fished many grade 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 spots and have not seen any new fish. I'm almost positive they aren't implemented yet. |

I would agree, sent about 3 hours between 8, 9, and 10's and nothing other than some low-level fish.
Bit sad given how dangerous some of those are to reach.

Then we just need to find them... Just a shame that they are recipes for more Sea Sand. Would have been great to get something interesting to do with these high level fish (if we could find them). Edited by user Wednesday, December 15, 2010 7:45:51 AM(UTC)

As to the rock lobster recipe (from leve) I can do one better. about 2 days ago (from R35 leve) i was given the recipe for River sand, using the fish Tatitaro, which is a legendary freshwater R83 fish... >.>
Hopefully we can start fishing these soon and find the additional uses for them (perhaps they will release a quest like Inside the Belly as was on XI) |
