Hey all, I'm currently in the process of setting points, i plan to have around 130 or more dex, but i have no mage classes so am wanting to be able to keep piety at 16... my quesiton is, how important is piety? what exactly does it do? and will it make a big difference leaving it at 16?
Thanks, Drar.

I did that at first when I was fishing up to about R20...then I realized that for better jig-remainder ratio's I needed Pie. At R50 all stats are at 85 or so...and when i first started to pump Pie, I did notice a lot more sucessful reels.

Thanks, Drar. |

My thoughts on that are that you should atleast take PIE up to 40. When you get up high, it's going to take more and more points to get everything up higher. That's what I'm doing with all of my stats. 3 points to get 1 in dex or 1 point to get 1 in pie.
Everybody's different tho. :)

I've put my pie up to 80, i'm hoping leaving it there will be ok. my Dex will be well over 100, so that might make up for some of it >.> |

So has anyone actually tested dex/pie? Can anyone confirm what each one does exactly?

This is such a old topic. Truvy has prolly done tests on DEX no doubt, since it's meant to influence sweet spot or something (least thats what SE said in a patch).
Piety on the other hands increases the yield you get. EG: if you have only 16 piety or so, you wont catch 2+ fish very often. If you have it very high, you will. Same goes for MND on miner, and INT on botanist. |

DEX affects your ability to reel in fish, it works in the equation that handles how the remainder depletes.
PIE affects your yeield and seems to affect bite rate as well.

do we have any ideas on the amount of dex/pie needed to raise these effects? also is it a per grade or per item thing? numbers to go along with the ideas would be good.
