well i personally don't target dark bass, see it as a huge waste of time. I'd use the wahoo recipe for fish glue if you can fish em up. anyway i just went out to horizon, the home is still +1. 1/10 using Moth Pupa. 1/10 using Wildfowl Fly. 0/10 using crow fly 0/10 using Chocobo fly so out of 40 successful reel-in's i only caught 2 dark bass. I catch more wahoo at grade 5 north of Bald Knoll targeting malm kelp. hell even indigo herring are easier to catch. if i would have brought all my lures and bait i might be able to provide a bit more insight. if anything i would test out Crayfish and bass balls. i have always had great results with the paste bait. maybe trying schools in grade 2-3 would net more Dark bass/hr. ps: the data i provided is all but useless, as there are other elements that could have affected my bite rate, also the sample size was tiny. Best of luck Edited by user Tuesday, January 04, 2011 11:09:04 PM(UTC)

Try changing to a lower level Fishing pole. I couldn't understand why I was no longer catching Ash Tuna. 0 tuna in one hour with rattan pole. Switched to bamboo pole caught 10 tuna in a hour. If i recall correctly i was using a willow fishing pole when i was fishing near horizon. Try that and see if you catch more dark bass.
