Since there are about 40-50 logging points per region there are going to be some holes in the black shroud grade 2 map. However, I will try to get those when I happen to do local leves at emerald moss. The main reason I am focusing on the black shroud is because that is where I am enjoying botany the most. I hate the hills in Thanalan. However, it seems that as I get higher rank that means Ill be spending more time on a particular grade of trees. So once I have identified most of the tress in a region I will move to a different region for identification purposes. Does anyone have any request as to what region I should do after the black shroud? Also, if anyone happens to to botany leves at emerald moss would you do me the favor and mark my map with those locations so I can update it? I have a feeling the majority of my unmarked Grade 2 Black Shroud trees happen to be leve trees.

I will be posting my grade 3 black shroud info pretty soon. Please keep in mind that the initial maps I post will be 'rough' and that the good version of my maps will not be ready until I am ready to move onto the next region.

The work you have done is really amazing. As I know you have seen this is essentially what we are trying to do with the maps on this site albeit in a interactive version.
I will also try to add your points to maps so other people can enjoy them.
Thanks for sharing.

I would like to apologize for lack of updates recently. My game priorities change unexpectedly recently and I have to focus on those priorities at the moment. Rest assured that I have not abandoned the project nor will I. I tried doing some gathering in Thanalan and I can not take the terrain. It drives me nuts. For for the time being I will stick in the black shroud indefinitely. The goal of the project is to gather at every logging and harvest node in the black shroud and log the differences between the notches.

I will also be doing corthaes as my goals are accomplished for the specific grade in the black shroud. I expect to be actively working on the project sometime next week.

Trying to get to R50 weaving and NM hunting has kept me away from botany since my last map update. I am looking forward to starting botany again. Once I finish the Grade 3 map I will go back and finish the Grade 2 map and then start on the Grade 1 map.

It has been a long while since I have done anything significant for the project. Today I have finalized the black shroud grade 3 map. I am missing a few nodes, but I am moving on to grade 4 so who knows when I will get back to those. It is almost complete as is and should prove to be quite useful. Still have not reached 50 weaving so that is till eating up my time. I should be R50 weaving sometime next week and then I will start to focus more on DoL. Once I am pretty satisfied with my black shroud maps I will be moving onto Thanalan. It will be awhile since I have yet to even start Grade 1 black shroud. Then I will also have the master map to complete as well.

I important announcement I have for everyone. As you have noticed the title of this thread is called Tragic's maps and logs! Where the hell are the logs? Well I am going to start making them now. I am going to start logging all my gathering. This will include the raw log. It will also include games time, moon phase, and current rank. My aim is to figure out when exactly gathering fatigue sets. It is also my aim to figure out possible favorable moon phases when it comes to harvesting. Also, it is my goal to come up with reasonable percentages of what is gathered at a harvest point.

I have one rank of weaving to go which should be complete within the next few days. After that I will be spending most of my time gathering, making maps, making logs.

Alright, time for me to get more serious about botany. By more serious I mean hitting gathering fatigue everyday. Crabby is back in order so I will start doing logs again. I will be logging the Grade 5 harvest points in LL for the time being. I really need those mosses to rank up alch. Grade 4 BS map is almost 100% complete. Should have that up pretty soon.
