To day we had a thread where Jacob asked what the best location for rank 18 fishing would be. I suggested Bloodshore because of the low ranking fish. Taking a Floating Minnow to -4 seemed the best. We started talking about a ranking guide with information on the best places to be at what rank. So a sticky was suggested so people could post their favourite places. I am working on a guide for fishing and would love to get your feedback on what places should be sought out to get the best out of fishing. This could be because of great gil or high sp just remember to describe why you think this is a great spot and what the benefits are. If you would use a template similar to the following it would be great... Quote:Fishing Rank: 15-20 Area(preferred with POS): Bloodshore (sea line) Bait: Floating minnow Sweet spot: -4 Fish obtained: Sea Pickle, Rothlyt Oyster, Bianaq Bream and Malm Kelp
Reason: At Bloodshore you will have a lot of low ranking fish that are easy to pull in. It is grade 3 so at rank 15 - 20 you will get lots of SP and XP. -4 is the sweet spot of Sea Pickle, Rothlyt Oyster and Malm Kelp. Change it to +1 for Bianaq Bream. I hope you will help getting information on where to be from the start at rank 1 all the way to level 50. If someone have already posted something about a rank range and you feel you have a better option don't hold back |

i have had good luck with fishing directly east of cedarwood (grade 4) for at least ranks 18-21. i've gotten... hammerhead sharks, white coral, blue coral, bianaq breams, ash tuna. also there is a school of fish that appears near the fishing node, that is rumored to have the elusive indigo herring. though i have never had such luck :(
