Fishing schools are fishing areas that you have a limited number of attempts to fish from. There are usually fish that are unique to schools only or are higher level fish that you can catch at a much lower fishing grade.
Lures are nice because they aren't expended on every fish you catch. You only lose them if you fail to catch a fish and the fish takes it. I haven't done enough observing, but I think fish respond a little better to live bait, as in you get more activity over a lure. |

Nope not necessarily. What you need to use depends on what you are trying to catch. It is a study onto itself that has not been completely done yet. Some bait will have better bite rates for certain fish than certain lures. Also remember; when starting out is much cheaper to buy some bait than lures as these can be expensive. |

I've personally never tried it, but I would think it's possible. I know before it wasn't advantageous to do so because in the case of the quest where you catch 3 fish, only the person that catches the fish gets the SP. I don't know if that's been changed or not though. |

LEve links with fishing used to be hax... literally. You used to be able to link up the promising location fishing leve, and continually fish the second spot for 25mins and get about 400sp/catch (back then that was shitloads). But now, its not so good. Basically if you leve link, you will get more sp/catch, but, there is a set amount of fish you can get. For the promising leve there is a total of 6 hooks for the entire leve, so even if you and you're mate link it, there will still only be 6 fish, so unless you get 3 fish each, it will be unfair to the other person :o Same goes for the 3x fish leve, the sp/fish skyrockets, but is unfair to whoever gets less fish. Although, if your say R 35+ like me, and you have a R15 fishing friend, you cold give them syrphids and take them to a nine ivies leves and let them get every fish, although this isn't a link, it should by rights get them ridiculous sp, will try it sometime if someone doesn't get there before me |

I see, so unless the link doesn't give 2x SP, then it doesn't worth then?
