Hello,
What is the most effective means of catching Crimson Crayfish?
My guess is that I go to one of the G5/G4 locations found in La Noscea or Ul'Dah and use a Crow Fly at -4 depth and hope for the best beyond that(not getting into a complex discussion about optimal gear beyond lure and maybe rod).
Is there a better choice of lure? Or is my estimate about optimal?

Iron Lake in Northern La Noesca
Horn Fishing Rod (or level appropriate)
Top Water Frog
-4 depth
Crimson Cray all day. I can fill my inventory entirely in less than a few hours.
Experience: Gathering Crimson Crayfish for a Linkshell Alchemist buddy to burn through. You catch Lava Toads and.... another fish there too, I can't think of the name. Top Water frog gives fast message at that location a lot for me.

The other fish there are Crayfish and Dark as wella s maybe Pipira... i forget... Post I made a while back that has detailed info on how to do these from a lower ranked fisher, others have also suggested other good areas to do it. Enjoy you're crayfish :D |
