Hi all
I am throwing this one out there... any suggestions to what the ranks of this forum should be? I would love to hear your suggestions.
At the moment we are looking at:
0 - 10 posts: Newbie
10 - 30 posts: Member
30 < posts : Advanced Member
but it is quite lame imo and I would like something more related to FFXIV. So if you have any suggestions please let me know. |

I didn't really get any replies on this so I went with some of the ranks of Fishing in FFXI. That means there are 6 levels:
Amateur: < 25 posts
Recruit: 25 - 100 posts
Journeyman: 100 - 250 posts
Craftsman: 250 - 500 posts
Artisan: 500 - 1000 posts
Veteran: > 1000 posts
If you have some better suggestions I would like to hear them. We may change them when the game comes out.

Nice to go with the crafting ranks on a crafting site. Maybe special names for the people who contribute alot to the site and things like that, like stars of skuls etc. |

So far we are giving points to people who ad a lot to the site (10 points for adding items and 5 for editing). You also get points for posting in the forum (3 points). We may find a way to better show the points and we may open it up more so registered members can edit or maybe add things to the database. So far only moderators can do that.
I need to make some adjustments to how points are distributed though and I need to be able to show item history if someone decides to change the name of all items in the database. We need to be able to undo actions of users before opening up to all registered members. I know that 99.99 percent of all users would only do good things here but that last 0.01 percent could do a lot of damage if not handled properly. |
