When I hit Botany r25 and could start to do leves in Nophica, I started making notes of all the normal trees i could find, as the SP per log was better than grade 3 in Horizon and without the r28 scan skill I would have to work on memory to find trees.

So I started making dots on a map in Paint. I had Triangulate so I could work out if trees were N/S/E/W of me and was able to identify that there were 4 trees in total. At first I thought that each tree had 3-4 spots where it could spawn in, so I started drawing lines from each tree to another if they co-existed at the same time. This would help so I could know what tree I was chopping and what items it dropped.

As time went on, I kept finding new nodes and my original estimation went from 3-4 to 6-7 to 9, then finally settled on 10 spawns per tree. I hope there isn't 11. I have nightmares about finding an 11th spawn :(

Griding through rank 25-32 I am now happy to announce that I have found all 40 spawns of trees in Nophica as follows

Each tree is colour coded and numbered. At some point I figured that my picture with all the lines was getting too cluttered, so I created a spreadsheet to record all the instances of Co-existance between trees. I also compiled information on the drops I got from the trees as suplementary evidence of which spawns belonged to which tree (the numbers after the drop is the sweet spot for reference). I haven't got 100% of co-existance mapped or 100% of drops confirmed, but I am quite happy to conclude that my trees are correct and each tree of each family drops the same items.

The current map of Nophicas Wells only has 7 Tree nodes on it co-ords marked in blue on my spreadsheet (one of which is wrong I think it is supposed to be point 14 - coords marked in red), so I went through and worked out the Map Grid and the Dol map coordinates of each tree so they can be uploaded.

My spreadsheet also shows harvesting and Leve points, but I haven't fully catalogued those.

I really enjoyed doing this, all the mapping and cross referencing is so my thing. Plus as I was so focused on finding that last darn trees, I didn't really pay attention to the sp I was getting and got quite a few ranks without really noticing the grind. So I am going to head over to Cedarwood and Humblehearth and do the same thing. When I am done, I will probably be at a rank that I can take on Grade 5 mapping :P

I want to thank you for the amazing job you have done. I am not able to add all the points right now but I will make sure to do it very soon.

I can't wait to see what you will come up with for Cedarwood and Humblehearth BigGrin

Just wanted to let you know that I have added all the points to the maps... I worked a bit with your spread sheet in excel and got all my sql inserts done there and after running them all info is now in the database.

This has been amazing help and I would love to get more like this BigGrin

If I log one of the Oak trees does another Oak tree spawn at the points on the map (11-20)? So in theory can I just run around the southern area of Nophica and log only Oak trees?

If you log an Oak tree and it is 'exhaused' and stops sparkling, then yes the tree will respawn in one of the other Oak nodes. But there is only 1 oak tree in existance at any one time. If you are particularily after Oak trees, what you could do is set up a circut with 1 oak tree and 2 of the nearby harvesting nodes so Tree -> harvest -> harvest -> Tree.
