Which one is better to use on what location? or what fishes? I assume that Top water Frog is good for those fishes that stay at sweet spot above 0 because it is light lure? and Sinking Minnow is good for fishes that stay at sweet spot below 0 such as black soles etc, because it is heavy lure? but i m thinking another possibility of top-water to be freash water lure too.. Well for starters Topwater Frog is Freshwater and Sinking Minnow is Saltwater. I haven't done much freshwater research, but I have done a fair deal of research into salt. Look here for what I have currently on Sinking Minnows. http://lodestone.finalfa.../rc/diary/entry?e=160499

Huh, I never though to think about lures in this way. Floating Minnows for +1-5, and Sinking Minnows for -1--5... I wonder if that holds merit. It would make sense. I have a great time using sinking minnows on -4 black soles. |

Unfortunatly it does not hold merit. One of the best lures I use for getting +3 Red Corals (-3 depth) are Floating Minnows in the school south of Cedarwood. I get more coral to "Big Bite" on Floating minnows then i do on Rat tails and other favored baits for them.

All coral works the same way it would seem.

the reason i ask is because in your compendium Truvy, you have white coral not listed with the green box for floating minnow and wondering what the best is to use for it

Yeah several of the favored baits and lures are still being tested and added/changed. As far as corals go, they all seem to use the same, even the white (I have personally recieved "Big Bite" messages using Floating Minnows and it reeled in Red, White and Blue corals).
It will be added on the new update (SORRY for the delay too, been a rough week for getting to some of these obscure fishing holes. Even though they are just crap fish [R6-R10 waters] i'm trying to be a complete as i can for each zone.)

truvy i've been trying out the floating minnows at grade 5 bald knoll and am not getting any big bite msg's for -3 white coral at all. i tried spoon's and sinking as well to no avail. the goby balls however are the best it seems. i too got the big bite msg for red confirmed and blue coral possibly at cedarwood
