I just wanted to add some information on some of the macros I use. It is really helpful when running around looking for fish, mining spots or places to log. The macros changes all the gear needed in order to start one of the other Disciples of the Land
Macro for fishing:
/echo Changing to fishing gear /equip main "Weathered Fishing Rod" /equip sub "Bronze Gig" /equip pack "Bloodworm" /eaction 1 "Stone Throw" /eaction 2 "Dowse" /eaction 3 "Gulleye" /eaction 4 "Gulleye II"
If you are higher level you may want to remove some abilities and add your higher level ones. Also remember to change your rod, gig and bait if you want something else. This is just an example
Macro for mining:
/echo Changing to mining gear /equip main "Weathered Pickaxe" /equip sub "Bronze Sledgehammer" /eaction 1 "Stone Throw" /eaction 2 "Lay of the Land" /eaction 3 "Prospect" /eaction 4 "Lay of the Land II"
Again change the equipment and abilities to suit your needs.
Macro for botanist:
/echo Changing to botanist gear /equip main "Weathered Hatchet" /equip sub "Bronze Scythe" /eaction 1 "Stone Throw" /eaction 2 "Arbor Call" /eaction 3 "Triangulate"
I find these really really useful. Hope you will like them as well. |

Just a quick note on these: You don't need to set the 1 actions -- they're set automatically by equipping the relevant weapon. (I set /eaction 2 "Wrist Flick" for mine.) Also, the 1st- and 2nd- tiers of abilities share a cooldown, and since they're set up so that the higher tiers work for lower-grade nodes, there's no reason to use the lower tiers. Once you upgrade to Dowse II, for example, you can safely replace Dowse I.

Since this is on the topic of macros I saw this macro guide: http://www.gmbase.com/bb...dID=125&TopicID=6342towards the bottom has some good tips on switching out. |

There is at least one issue I have with macroing weapons, archer. Archer gets two abilities auto set. For this class you may want to clear slot 2 before equiping weapons. If you don't, refill will be put somewhere else.
There are only two ways to move refill, by another macro, or by moving anoter skill onto it, so it swaps with refill. I've just found it much easier to empty slot 2 first, and let the game auto equip it there. Square needs to add refill to the Actions list, (amd possibly make it reload bait).

With the stack size size raised to 999, there's no reason your macro shouldn't look like this: /equip main "Crab Bow" /equip pack "Red Coral Arrow" /eaction 30 Refill /eaction 2 "Heavy Shot" ... I use the 30 slot for Guard on mages, etc. |

As I have started crafting I have actually done some changes to the way my macros are ordered.
I use two bars (if you can call them that) - One for DoL and one for DoH. The first macro on each line is concerned with gear (not specific to class but discipline). I use one set of gear for all DoH and another set for DoL. The first macro changes the clothing to the chosen disciples. Then I have one macro for all classes within that discipline that changes tools and abilities. This way I can quickly change between classes within a discipline and if I want to change discipline I use two macroes.
So if I am currently Alchemist and want to change to fishing I first change clothes using one macro (that would go with miner and botanist as well) and then I change tools and abilities with the next macro. This works really well for me as I change a lot within the disciplines... from miner to botanist to fisher back to miner back to fisher and so on. These changes are rather quick when I don't have to include the clothes as well as these will already be set. |
