I read some where that miners are able to throw stones and use the rocks against mobs. Does this mean that miners are actually able to be in a party with other people and fight?
This could be pretty cool as miners would be able to be both ranged (throwing rocks) and close combat (using pick axe). Don't know if this is something I misunderstood but it would be neat

I am not quite sure but I agree that it would be great if that was the case. It would open up a whole new venue for fighters. It would also mean that you wouldn't have to change equipment if agroed by a mop while mining :D |

I don't know if DotL will be able to function in a party as fighters or magic users but it would be cool if they actually had the ability to fight of mobs when attacked while mining. I guess you will be able to use macros as in ffxi so you could switch gear fast but will this also make you switch class? I mean it is no longer a skill, it is a class on it's own determined by what equipment you wear. Will a magic user be able to change to fighter while in a battle just by switching gear? That would make it very versatile indeed. Lots of question and no way to answer it aarrrghhh...
