Man this whole Imperial thing they just started is a waste. Noone does the fights in any numbers and if you solo you only get shard drops off the mobs.. that's it. You are supposed to get deaspected crystals after it's over out of a chest that appears by the npc but apparently you have to kill them all or a great number to get any reward and there are a ton of them. I killed over 10 solo and no chest. .nada and no sp from any of the mobs. You'd have to have a lot of people to kill them all and if you get too close. .you will get a ton of links as they are mostly all camped tightly together. Would love to get the crystals for the gear but this is pretty pointless. Was fighting out at Bloodshore by the way and this was my 3rd time to try and didn't get a damn thing lol. If I'm missing something here pls do tell. You should at least get some sp's and a chest with crystals in relation to how many you killed. .. and here they are again.. they show up quite frequently. http://ffxiv.gamerescape.../the-imperials-are-here/

I'm kind of a nightowl, so I'll stay up and play FFXIV sometimes in the middle of the night... and I've noticed that a lot of JPs do these fights (at least on Gyshal). Like, tons of them in Uldah and Griddy - I haven't seen much of it in Limsa. If you have the chance I would try to do them later in the day when you can hook up with a JP alliance or something x.x; However, it does sound like besieged or the WOTG campaign battles when they first came out. It will probably rise in popularity once people actually figure out what's going on. Not that I'd really know of course, I've never done one. I'm rank 14 XD Just seen them happen <3 Good luck! I'm sure once SE released better rewards, or at least different rewards for more deaspected crystals (Like a decent R50 set) then they will become much more popular. |

yeah they reminded me of some of the events in FFXI however you still receive xp in those or points/notes to buy items/armor or even chests will drop which you can sign up for in a union. In this unless I'm greatly missing something you have to kill them all just to receive the crystals. Yeah if they offer better items to buy with the crystals I'm sure more will show up. I can see them changing this as time goes on and add in more drops, etc. But still you should at least get some SP for however many mobs you kill like in campaign battles in FFXI and killing them all to me is over doing it. It's more or less a ls event as it stands now. There aren't enough players on the servers or interested players to do this unless they are from your linkshell or you get lucky. It's too much like campaign and thus needs to be treated as such. Add in a few more drops at the end from the chest and give some SP at the end like campaign (xp) and I promise you people will go after this.
