So I've come to the point in the fishing guide where it suggests the islands of umbra for fishing, but there's one problem I'm faced with, those damn giant crabs block every entrance I've attempted to use to get in. Is there a way to get into the place solo? or another good grade6-10 spot elsewhere that can be gotten to without being murdered? Fisher is my highest rank class so I cant very well run up and smash it with dow or dom at this point. Or has everyone else just gotten people together to kill the crabs to get to the sweet spots?

Hi Xyonblade and welcome to the site. First off there are no grades higher than Grade 5 right now. They changed that but should change as time goes on and job levels get higher. Most of the older guides probably don't apply anymore. Which guide are you referring to.. as it might be something that Kida can take a look at to see if it's applicable to the game anymore and might need to be removed.. with all the drastic changes to the game lately. As of now I think you would be better of just finding a nice grade 5 spot and grinding it out .. that and doing leves and the guild items if you want. Check out Vesper's Bait Guide: http://www.disciplesofth...m.aspx?g=posts&t=453and use the Maps and Logs option to find any rank 5 sites in any area which will tell you which fish you can catch at those spots. http://www.disciplesoftheland.com/Maps.aspxThat's all I pretty much do right now. I've been at Iron Lake (no mobs to worry about on the south side closest to the camp/aetheryte. Basically any place that is grade 5 where you can do a leve you can usually camp out and grind as they removed most mobs that could kill you but not all. For instance North side of the Iron Lake there is an encampment of high lvl mobs which you do a leve at but you have to be careful. No more roaming anglers at most spots anymore. yeah these guides that are older will need to be revised as not all but some of the information like where to fish is not correct anymore.
Kida.. maybe you can post something on that guide like a disclaimer stating that it only goes up to grade 5 and parts of it are not applicable anymore and will be updated or just update it.. I don't know.

The guide needs a revision. I will see if I can get it done soon. If not ... yes at least a note stating that some info is not up to date. |
