I was trying to find the new "best" fishing gear and all i can find is
-Gilded Rosewood Fishing Rod (R48)
-Mythril Gig (R40)
-Fishing Hat (R27)
-Linen Coatee (R50)
-Tarred Leather Culottes (R47)
-Fingerless Toadskin Gloves (R38)
-Linen Gaiters (R50)
-Tarred Voyager's Belt (R45)

I found recipe's for the rod, gig, Linen Coatee, and Linen Gaiters, but the other 4 do not seem to have new recipe's yet my old one's are now "dated" are there new items for head, legs, hands, and waist, or new recipe's for these items?

I had this big elaborate post typed up..but then I accidentally closed the browser window ><

There are options. If you go through and did what I was doing, go to the items search, and start searching each armor category for gathering, output and perception, and you'll be able to piece together a set (or sets) of current gear that works best for you. The key is finding a balance between the stats. More gathering is going to let you pull up fish easier, while output will let you pull up more fish more often. I can't remember what perception does for the life of me, but there are some slots where it's the only stat you can get so you should fill that slot with it.

Edit: Had some free time at work so I put together a quick list. The fishing rod and off hand are the best items that I can tell.

Body

Raptorskin Jerkin (Blue) - 28 gathering 7 dex
Woolen Artisan's Apron (Black) - 30 output 8 pie
Woolen Doublet (Red) - 18 perception 6 dex

Belt

Raptorskin Survival Belt - 12 output 12 perception

Head

Cobalt Preserves (Green) - 21 perception 3 dex
Cobalt Mesail - 20 gathering

Hands

Felt Work Gloves (Blue) - 15 output
Raptorskin Smithy's Gloves (Grey) - 13 gathering

Feet

Raptorskin Thighboots (Grey) - 8 gathering
Raptorskin Workboots (Blue) - 11 output 3 pie

Legs

Raptorskin Culottes (Purple) - 16 gathering 6 pie
Woolen Slops - 10 output
Linen Bottom (Brown) - 7 perception
