Market is a bit flooded on my server right now I think due to people waiting for the culinary and alchemy changes in 1.20. I was able to sell a stack of black sole for 1900 each, I guess some alchemist needing lightning crystals. Everything else I've had only goes in between 1000-1500 each, crimson crayfish maybe being an exception, but I haven't sold any in a while.

Something to consider is maybe sitting on your fish till 1.20 and we may see a price increase. In the meantime, fish up some catalysts and sell sell sell!

So far I'd have to agree with you on the Sabers and the Wahoo. Haven't tested the others. The corals seem to be selling really good for me too. Northern Pikes were selling at a consistent rate for me also.

I've been selling White Coral. Also, the Company hand in items often times include fish. Try and catch these and sell them on the market.

There is a very nasty price war going on right now on my server, every time I put something up, the next day someone else has lowered the price, so I lower the price to match or beat theirs, and then they lower the price again, its causing the price of fish and the few catalysts i'm selling to plummet.

Yeah I remember the days from FFXI when anything I caught or crafted got undercut by regular players or more often rmt and it drove me insane.

The price cut was not necessary as it not only cost them gil but they just did it to get the sale quicker and thus killed the prices for certain items. Trying to drive up the price again even with help was tough if they overloaded the AH.

Making gil in this game is absurdly easy compared to then. I must of run through close to 2mil easily this week and I'm already halfway back to that just from leves and npc'ing stuff and selling some catalysts.

The catalysts I sold on monday are already way below 10k and being sold in mass so unless I npc them there is no point in farming that anymore though. I need to read up on what the main foods are out there that require certain fish. Like black sole for sole sushi in 11.

Problem is fishing is super easy to lvl up and all fish are super easy to catch so there is no effort for any player to fish and sell.

I'm hoping Yoshi and SE make things tougher down the road with higher lvl fish that need specific fishing rods that are hard to obtain to catch. Something like that is needed to make rare fish more expensive or slow down the rate of lvling up so everyone isn't maxed out on every single job lol.

black and brown dyes are selling for a ton of gil and quickly on Lindblum. i was getting 50K per dye last week but now they're down to 30K per dye.

There's not enough White Coral up on the wards to my liking so I recently just started fishing my own. I notice there's not much Red Coral either, and I can't get any bites on it whatsoever in the areas listed here.
