Some really good information in this interview. Highlights: * Chart for which item makes what materia being released * CNJ and THM getting reworked in 1.20 so you'll be able to tell which will be BLM or WHM in job patch (he didn't come out and specifically say) * Ishgard won't be a major player until 2.0 * Their priority is to add a new caster class/job first and a pet class/job. Might not make it until after 2.0 though. Summoner and Beastmaster are confirmed! * The current loot system of getting a random item from Ifrit battle was intentional, but due to complaints they're probably going to a different loot system. This is a good read that expands on some ideas and content and offers some new insight and clarifies others. I am really looking forward to the rest of this year through 2013 more and more as I read these different interviews, notes, etc.
This new engine just really sounds like it's going to be quite amazing. 14 when all is said and done will really be something special I think that will last me for the next 6-8 years. |
