Hello everyone, I'm tring to find the Ossified / Cultured / Cretified / Calcified Matter while fishing but haven't found them.
Can someone help me and indicate where I need to go, the right path and the bait and lure.

For all catalysts across all DoL jobs, the following rules apply:

• You must have Fingerprints of the Gods equipped and it must activate
• They are only obtainable by using your mainhand tool

Fishing has a special rule, however...

• You must be at a 'school of fish' in order to trigger the Fingerprints of the Gods ability.

I don't fish, so I cannot speak on whether it has a preferred bait. For fishing, I believe the 'sweet spot' or whatever you call it is at -5 (I could be wrong).

From the 1.19 patch notes (http://forum.square-enix.com/ff...tch1.19-Patch-1.19-Notes), the catalysts can be found in the following areas by fishers:

• Calcified Matter is only found in Bloodshore
• Cultured Matter is only found in Cedarwood
• Ossified Matter is only found in Bald Knoll
• Cretified Matter is only found in Nine Ivies

Sorry but I have not understand what do you mean for "You must have Fingerprints of the Gods equipped and it must activate"

The 1.19 patch notes explain it best:

Catalyst items (such as carbonized matter, germinated matter, and calcified matter) can be gathered by Disciples of the Land for whom the Fingerprints of the Gods ability is active. When the ability is triggered during gathering, aiming at the correct spot will guarantee you a chance of obtaining a catalyst.

Fingerprints of the Gods can be learned via the quest "Joining the Spirit" offered to Disciples of the Land level 18 and above. To undertake the quest, speak to the NPC Kokosamu located in central Thanalan (29,20).

If you don't know what "Fingerprints of the Gods" is, then you probably haven't done the quest for it. You learn the ability as soon as you start the quest (mentioned above in bold). Once you've started the quest, it's considered completed once you've obtained a catalyst from anywhere.

Don't forget to equip the ability once you get it!

Fingerprints of the God is an ability you have available once you take the quest "Joining the Spirit". It's available at the camp north of Ul'dah where the other materia related quests are taken. You have to have a gathering quest at at least level 18 to get the quest. Once you accept the quest, the ability is available to you until you turn in the quest, where you permanently learn the ability.

The rest of the information Raldo posted is correct, and the catalysts' sweetspot is located at -5. I'm not sure if they have a preferred bait.
