Hey guys, I discovered this website a couple days ago. Really amazing work has been done here Laugh

I know about the sweet spot in mining, but what about the strike lvl?

Its the radar like mini-game we get after selecting the sweet spot.

Is there any guide around to show us where to hit for each grade/item?

Thank you.

It would be nice to document this. This should be something we can add to the comments field of every item but it would take a little work. Based on my experiences with gathering in general, since 1.19, you should be able to hit the same general spot for an item every time. Example, Iron Ore is around the 60% area going outward from the center, Cobalt Ore is around 80%, Alumen is 50%, and so on.

Perhaps Kida can create a thread requesting the strike area for each gatherable. The criteria would be different for logging and fishing since they use a different system though. For those we'd have to note which general area of the semi-circle the item is gathered.

Most gems are around 5% with jade considered a different class at around 60% too. Not sure whether stats have any effect on the position, or just on the width of the zone. Earthen favour does mess up some strike levels though, at least in leves (iron shows up at 30%ish in leves with earthen favour active) so I'm not sure whether the strike levels are variable with stats, or whether it's a bug...

Another thing to potentially keep track of is the maximum yield for certain items. Many have noted that you can only ever get 1 Mythril Ore per swing. I've started tracking this data for botany (maximum flax per gather: 7, maximum cotton per gather: 5, etc.). It might be beneficial.

Unless my free time starts going down the tubes, I plan to start taking up mining soon. I'll be tracking everything about it that I can.
