Anyone know if there is a 3rd spearfishing spot in ironlake? Map only shows 2.I been scouting iron lake and cant seem to find the 3rd one to grind for the achivement

I've only ever seen 2 right by the lake. There is another by the crystal/camp but it's on the other side of the camp leading away from the lake. |

The info I gave above was incorrect. There are 2 harvest spots and I guess I was thinking about one of those on the other side of the crystal. Well I looked all over even past the young raptors on both sides of camp and I went to one side of bronze lake and nothing. Checked all caves. But I could not check by the bronze lake crystal or anywhere around it. Mobs pushing well past 60 and I'm tired. I did not check the mines northeast of Iron Lake but doubt there is one in there. I guess SE just didn't want to put another but idk why. Plenty of places. Spear nodes come in 3's everywhere else so might still be one. Edited by user Thursday, January 05, 2012 4:04:44 AM(UTC)

Has anyone found out how to reset the Grade 5 Spearfishing nodes at Camp Iron Lake? After spearfishing the 2 nodes, I keep getting the "Nothing of interest in the vicinity" Message. Is there a 3rd spearfishing spot? Thanks~!

1) Approach non-school body of water.
2) Take out fishing rod.
3) Put away fishing rod.
No, you don't even need to attempt to fish.
Doing the above steps will count as having fished there. If you do spearfish 1 > spearfish 2 > fake-fishing, spearfish 1 will open back up for gathering, and you can continue.
Note: I am not a fisher, this is merely what I have heard should work. |

Hmm, have you tried fishing once instead of just casting your line and putting it away immediately (again at a non-school of fish)? Again, I'm not a fisher, I'm just grasping at straws now. If that doesn't work... I assume there are schools of fish somewhere in Iron Lake? You'll need to do just like BTN/MIN have to and fully deplete the school in order to reset your earliest spearfishing point. Oh, and no, there is not a 3rd spearfishing point in Iron Lake. Sadly there is no school of fish or 3rd node to reset the spears. IMO your best bet would be to do it with the 'promising location' leve (that's if that counts, I assume it does - haven't actually tried). |
