I of course would also like to wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year.
Looking back this has been an amazing year, not only for me and this site but also for Final Fantasy XIV. The improvements and developments the game has seen has been nothing short of amazing. The way Yoshi-P and his crew have managed to raise this game to another level and the future plans laid out in front of us for everyone to see is proof that SE is dedicated to this game and that they will make sure that it will indeed be an even greater game than it already has become.
This site in it's own way has also seen a lot of improvements. Last year by this time we were less than 500 members and now we have become more than 2500. We have almost gotten 6 new members every day.
The database has been automated from the files of the game and we got a complete list of all items with all stats and pictures. We added our own data like the maps with sweetspots and where to obtain the items. We saw the guild items table and the data gathered for this along with a fishing guide and other features.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have participated in collecting data for the site. It has been a great feat. A special thanks goes out to the moderators who have not only helped gathering data and getting it on the site but also continued to help members with answers, fight spam and generally help the site running as best it could.
I promise you that I am dedicated to this site and that we will get even more features in 2012. I am already working on many things and I want to get it all out to you as soon as possible. I hope the site will continue to grow and that we can convince new players that FFXIV is worth a shot and that gathering is a great part of the game.
